A large solar plant is currently being built on the roofs of Tanne. Interested parties can participate directly in the project by purchasing individual panels and benefit from regular income from electricity production.
In these weeks, Tanne and the Swiss solar startup Solarify are jointly realizing an innovative solar project. Nearly 500 solar panels are to produce renewable electricity on the large roofs of Tanne in the future, thus covering around half of the electricity consumption. The special thing about it: The plant is financed by citizen participation.
From now on, interested individuals and companies from the region or from all over Switzerland can buy individual solar panels of the plant via the crowdfunding platform of Solarify. As panel owners, they will then receive regular payments for the electricity generated by their panels over a period of 35 years. This gives the opportunity to participate in the energy transition in a very concrete and uncomplicated way, even with comparatively low amounts, and thus to earn a small return on investment.
